NEW: We have recently adopted many new strategies to help minimize TransNav's impact on the environment.
- All lighting in the New Baltimore facility has been changed from 1000W Metal Halide fixtures to T5 VHO fixtures, reducing our energy consumption by 300W per light.
- With our recent expansion to the New Baltimore facility, we have added more natural light to help reduce our energy consumption.
TransNav understands the impact our manufacturing processes have on the environment. This impact is unavoidable; however TransNav has an impressive environmental policy aimed at reducing this impact. We are committed to protecting our natural resources to maintain a world that many future generations can enjoy.
We utilize the following methods to help with our Green Initiative:
- Recycle all materials used in our processes whenever possible
- Regrind our plastic excess for reuse in future products that meet the specifications of our customers.
- Recirculate and filter our cooling systems water.
- Recycle all paper products used for material storage.
- Reuse and recycle internal products such as paper and cans.
- Contain all chemicals and hazardous items to the regulations set by the OSHA & EPA standards.
- Strive to achieve a paperless office.
- Meet and exceed industry safety standards.
- Use energy efficient lighting. T5 VHO fixtures exist in the New Baltimore facility. We utilize natural light wherever possible in our New Baltimore and Mexico facilities.
- Recycle all fluids.
